The NBA playoffs are officially underway, and it is a basketball fan’s favorite time of the year. Whether it’s a game-winning three-pointer or a poster dunk, there is something for everyone during the NBA playoffs.
Many Seven Hills fans have come to me with their NBA playoff predictions. This includes Lakers and LeBron superfans Lemuel Zyyon and John Haney saying that no one is stopping their Lakers this year in the playoffs. They both enthusiastically said, “OKC, KFC, UFC, doesn’t matter Lakers in 5.” Zyyon and Haney are also very high on the LeBron—Luka duo saying, “No one is beating Broncic, man, two best players in the league.”
Many other people have interesting takes about this year’s NBA playoffs including senior Max Ralph. Ralph said, “Man the rest of the league better watch out for the 313, the Bad Boy Pistons 2.0 coming through, and the east runs through the D better watch out for Cade. He gon put his buffs on, then drop a calm 40. Pistons in 4.”
As you can tell by these quotes, people are very excited for the NBA playoffs. I too am one of those people who would consider myself an NBA superfan. I think this year’s NBA playoffs are between three teams: the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Boston Celtics, and the Oklahoma City Thunder. If anyone else wins it, I would be very shocked. These three teams have been the best in the entire league for the entire season, and I believe they are playoff-ready.
Luckily for me, I have a friend who considers himself a Cavs superfan. Sophomore Matia Kastner strongly believes that the Cavs will go all the way this year, which is not a surprise because he is a huge fan; I originally thought his prediction was due to just his bias. I asked him why he thinks that they will be able to get past Boston, and he said, “This team’s chemistry is really fun to watch, and they will be able to beat anyone just by the pure power of friendship.”
I honestly couldn’t agree more with Kastner. The Cavs have kind of floated through this season cruising to many wins, and they always look connected, and they clearly love and care for each other. That’s the reason I believe that the Cleveland Cavaliers will win the NBA finals this season.
If the Cavs do not win, I think it will be the Boston Celtics or the Oklahoma City Thunder. The reason I believe this is for the same reason I think the Cavs will win it. They always look connected and on the same page.
However, the reason I’m picking the Cavs over these teams is because, in my opinion, the Cavs have a bit more talent and a better supporting cast than both of these teams. Overall, it should be a very exciting NBA playoffs, and I’m excited to see how everything plays out and who will eventually win the championship.
